Timber frame extension, Llanddeusant

The timber framed building we’ve just finished in Llanddeusant, was made up of a timber hollow beam construction, on a reinforced raised concrete foundation. Warmcell insulation pumped in to the timber wall, floor and ceiling sections, counter battoning over intello proclima membrane on all inner surfaces to achieve a high air tightness to inner walls, with plasterboard and scim plaster finish.

External finishing in timber thermawood cladding over Tyvek fireproof membrane on front and 2 side elevations, with rear elevation clad in box section coated sheet metal, Velfac coated metal large sliding windows to front and rear elevation, smaller Velfac windows to side elevation, and again Velfac main door with glass side panels.

External build up of roof in plywood, box section timbers with Bauder membrane waterproof coating with sedum (grass) roof covering. 2 large glass panels built into roof.
